Evaluation

The result we found from our video was great. most of the feedback that we recieved was positive. however i personally thing that it could be improved for the reason because the documentary didnt tell a story we just had a summary of smoking. Also most the comment told me that the the infomation that i put in the documentary was accurate and it engaged the audience to learn somthing new.

5/03/2012 - the plan of today

This moday the 3 lessons that i am going to do is first catch up with 1 scene of filming and then split the roles of editing so half can look for a song and half would start to do the editing.

Issues of documentarys

Accuracy
The best documentary is the one when the person is accurate as possible. The person should be 100% sure every thing they input in the video is true. For example you can not make a documeantary that hasn't got anything to do with facts. A documentary needs to have facts and needs to have a good base reasearch of what it is going to be about. The producer Has to have a good story that can engage the audience and the people who are watching it. If your documentary has a one false fact it can change the way the audience see it. For example if you are filming a documentary about a Diseases has recently struck the world and you show a false fact Where it it may be crucial to the audience because they would take that false fact and take it in and may put it to use And may spread the word where it may cause a impact to the audience and her family and friends And who ever is watching it. If you want there film to be engaging and accurate as possible you should consider to use primary and secondary reasearch skills

Balance
When making a documentary the person should take in to consider what the message is trying to be and have a affect on the person who is watching it. It should not be a bias for the reason if it was to be bias the documentary would not exopand the viewers minds and make them think. Also to balance a documentary out is to have atleast two points to be fully explained and two interviews for each of them and then at the end to Summerise it all up and to fully state the purpose of the documentary to the audience.

Impartiality
When making a documentary you shouldn't be bias you should share opinions and make and input put many other facts and ideas to make It interesting. The person should be outside of the two sides of the subject and just state the points and facts of the two sides also the person should be neutral to the subject.

Objectivity
When making a factual programme the person should Make a point and ask a interviewer questions which is normal. However the person should take in to consideration about the questions you ask to the interviewer and the facts that you state. You should be open minded and try and get the point that you are stating quickly and accurately.

Subjectivity
When making a factual film in is crucial if to keep all your personal opinion and views out of it the reason behind this is because that if you do get your personal views it may turn the whole film upside down and make it bias.

Opinion
When Producing a factulal film the person should ask the interveiwers Should expand and share opinions to provide more ideas which can help bring the message of the film more clearer. When asking or stating a fact you should reasearch inside the subject and out of it too. This is a great way to make the audience to have a different viewpoint about the subject.

Bias
A bias factual documentary is when the subjects are one sided for example the person does not explain or go in to detail of the other side of the subject or argument.

Representation
This is when you are stereotyping someone or a subject by either their Person/group or their culture, society, Objects and events. All these lists of points are what you can expand on.

the props and equipment that we are going to need to produce this documentary is  studio or theatre light. a camera, tripod, chair, cigarette, lighter and school uniform.

The purpose of this documentary is that to inform and portray that young teens that are in early years of secondary school are grasping the bad habit of smoking. we are going to interview a

  • science teacher the bad effects it has on to the body.

risk assessment
The risk of our group producing this documentary at various places such as across the road can lead to serious injuries fro example we might fall and hurt our selves or carelessness with crossing the road may cause death by a car accident.
Also another hazard is when using the studio light we should be cautious when plugin it in to the socket in case one of the members get electrocuted also we should take time for the light to cool down if not one of us can get seriously burnt.
a risk of recording in the school is the we may trip and fall over chairs and tables.

king of laughter analysis

This is a observational documentary. Narrative of this documentary is about a African middle aged man who has lost everything in his past through family to all is business. Since then he "started to laugh to survive" this suggest to the viewer who was watching this that he laughs for a living to take all his pain away of what happened in his past.

The construction of the documentary was made by several shots of being repeated through out the scenes for example from half way through the film the man talks while the camera is fixed on to his face where he is laughing at a continuous rate also this has a effect on the audience by showing them that the subject cannot stop laughing and shows that it is a fact and he is not joking about. Also the editing of this scene was by speeding the clip up by a few seconds so it can speed up the time and shows what happens when he is socializing in his community. plus the shots that was taken of him was indirect for example it shows that his talking to other people and he was laughing but at the background where there was no sound of the crowd there was music running and the subject talking at to the audience however there was no sound of the interviewer speaking.
in addition to that when the scene is changing there is a fade in of the beat or the music kick in and also the camera shot repeats however this time it is chopped up and placed in the time line few seconds after random shots. Also it shows the moment to places to place by using these effects.
The introduction of this video shows the location of where the man lives but it no one speaks about where the subject lives but it shows key shots of where the person live for example the the local train station. and then it just goes straight to the point about the subject

The purpose of this video is to fantasize the people about a strange man who's cannot stop laughing for example the video give keys stats about what the person of what he does and a bit about his personal life.

People who would want to watch this documentary is the people who would like to know what kind of people there is around the world and people who are in to exploring different types of society
